One month before the group’s debut, a final member was added. Park Yoochun was raised in Seoul, South Korea but moved to Virginia in the United States when he was in the Sixth Grade with his family. There he continued to keep in touch with his Korean roots as he grew up, eventually going to Chantilly High School. In 2001 he won first place in a singing competition and was spotted by SM Entertainment.

“I felt 50-50 American and Korean. I think most Korean kids in America feel that way these days.” says Micky on his youth.

A Gemini born in 1986 has the middle-low vocal part of the group. Along with Xiah, he is the middle voice of the group. Is an important figure that brightens up the mood and atmosphere with his funny personality. Perhaps he couldn’t hide his talent even when he was little, for he won the highest award at the Korean/American Music Contest and the KBN Music Contest for young adults.
Is very interested in composing and wrote over 100 songs and the members personally like his song the best out of the ones the members composed. Joined the team last year and left his family in America, and he admits that he sometimes misses driving around Virginia. But he says that this moment, right now, is the happiest of his life.
Called as Junsu’s Half, Yoochun is the perfect mate for playing and doing dorky things together. He, together with Junsu and his soulmate, Jaejoong, always find right time to doing dorky things, even in a serious event or concert.

Yoochun loves to read comics, watch dramas, eat mid-night snacks with Changmin, and play games with Yunho. And do you know? He reads Fullmetal Alchemist and plays Bleach game during concert rehearsal.
The three members, Jaejoong, Yoochun & Junsu left SM Entertainment in
2010 due to legal issue with the company. They made their sub-unit JYJ and
debuted in Japan 2010, had Thanksgiving Live in Dome Concert (July 2010),
released the Japanese album ”The..” (September 2010), an English album
“The Beginning” (October 2010), Korean album “Their Rooms” (January 2011)
and are soon back with a new korean album.
While the other two members Yunho & Changmin (also called HoMin),
who still are under SM Entertainment’s contract, continued under the band name TVXQ. Released their first duo album “왜 Why Keep Your Head Down” (January 2011), Japanese version of “Why Keep Your Head Down” (March 2011), Japanese single “Superstar” (July 2011) and Japanese album “TONE” (September 2011)

They are having activites in Japan now, e.g a-nation, smtown, tour.
Even if they work as two splited units, TVXQ is still technially on hiatus.
