Kristen Stewart Wanted To Play Snow As A Badass
Kristen Stewart, who stars as the warrior Snow White in Snow White & the Huntsman, opening June 1, has said that she wanted to play Snow as a “badass.”
And that’s just what she does. Her version of an empowered and proactive Snow White doesn’t spend a moment cooking, cleaning and keeping house for a bunch of dwarves. Neither does she idiotically keep letting an old woman giver her poisoned hair pins and an apple which she stupidly eats.
No, Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White realizes very quickly that if anyone is going to defeat the evil Queen Ravenna and take back her rightful throne, then it has to be her. She’s not one to wait around for Prince Charming to rescue her either.
Like the other courageous film heroine who stormed the box office this spring – Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games, Kristen Stewart’s Snow White is a leader of men… and other women.
Stewart revealed that she was "destroyed" by the part, which she said was the most physically demanding role of her career.
Co-star Hemsworth admitted he had suffered from Stewart's strength after he was struck with an accidental "big right hook" from the star while filming.
Just as Katniss defended her fellow Hunger Games contestant, Peeta, Snow White even steps up to save the life of the Huntsman.
Kristen Stewart hits the red carpet for the "Snow White and the Huntsman" screening at the Westwood Village Theater where she talks with Access about playing a strong female character and overcoming her fear of horses for the movie.

Emmy Winner Jim Parsons Officially Admitted That He Is A Gay
The blink-and-you'll miss it aside appeared in a story about Parsons' starring stint in the Broadway production of Harvey.
Discussing Parsons' small role in the play The Normal Heart - about gay men dying of AIDS - the story noted: "The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels: Mr Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said."
Jim Parsons is known to be a versatile actor and recently he has won quite a few awards for his acting, including the Emmys. Jim Parsons has been in a committed relationship for the past 10 years, and even though in the NYT article, his partner was not revealed, a lot of people believe it is Todd Spiewak. Jim Parsons even thanked Todd Spiewak during a 2010 Emmy Award acceptance speech and the two were rumored to be engaged at one point.
According to the details which have emerged, Parsons, 39, popped the question to Spiewak, 34, and both of them got engaged. The pair were planning a Christmas wedding in Massachusetts, where gay marriages are legal, but Spiewak called off the wedding after an argument took place between the two. Apparently the argument had taken place over children as Spiewak wanted children while Parsons did not. However, according to the latest reports, both of them are still living together and Parsons is reconsidering his decision as he cannot live without his partner.
Parsons, who took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2010 and 2011, spent last summer on Broadway as well, portraying Tommy Boatwright, a young gay activist in Larry Kramer’s “The Normal Heart.” He is slated to reprise the role in an upcoming film adaptation of the award winning play.
The Times’ revelation may not be news to some of Parsons’ avid fans, who note that during awards acceptance speeches he regularly thanks his reported partner, Todd Spiewak, with whom he is often photographed.
The 39-year-old said: “I try to master every facet of a character in order to build a safety net for myself, so I can go on to take more risks to create someone really distinct”. For instance, Parsons has a sort of body language obsession. He was the one that gave Sheldon “the angular, ungainly stride”.
During the interview, Parsons talked about his upcoming casting in “Harvey”. The New York Times reporter, Patrick Healy noted about the actor’s new role: “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said” that Jim Parsons “has lived as a gay man in his private life, but in his professional public life he skirted the issue”.
In “Harvey”, Parsons is going to play Elwood, a character he says it has “warmth and wants nothing more than to connect with other people, whereas my nine-month-a-year job is a character who says things like, ‘If you don’t mind, I’d like to stop listening to you and talk now”.

Jennifer Lopez Will Leave The American Idol? Rumor Or Truth
If Jennifer Lopez exits Idol, as E! News reported Wednesday she will, then Idol has
a chance to be Idol again.
That would be the show that didn't need a velvet rope around the judges' table. With The X Factor landing Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, the pressure will be on Idol to keep up with the divas. But Idol went there with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, and before them, Ellen DeGeneres. The show won in the TV ratings, which is the point, but lost some of its mojo, which is not beside the point.
The household names produced by Idol are legion. But for all the Kelly
Clarksons and Carrie Underwoods, the show's biggest creation has been Simon
Cowell.
Would the Cowell of 2002, the anonymous music insider, get the call to replace Lopez in 2012?You've read all the reports -- "exclusive! Jennifer Lopez to leave "American Idol" after this season!" -- and maybe even believe them because, after all, she will leave "American Idol" one of these days. So will Randy and so will Steven Tyler. Everybody leaves eventually.
But is she leaving after this year? Here are 12 reasonable reasons why this is all probably bogus. (Hint, it's mostly about Britney.)
J.Lo has deployed underlings to sow the rumors, not facts. I mean come on! "A friend close to J.Lo." Gimme a break! J.Lo's a corporation; it's like saying, "a friend close to General Electric tells me..." For God's sake, she has an army of PR personnel that are sent out to the tab press to tell them whatever she needs to tell them.
J.Lo - like any well-run corporation - has good advice. She knows how Ryan Seacrest and Matt Lauer and so many others play this game to their great advantage. She's doing the same.
J.Lo has had her "friends" tell the tabs that she's just too busy to do "Idol." Just too busy...That's like Goldman Sachs sayings it's "just too busy" to do investment banking, or NBC saying it's "jjust too busy" to air any TV programs...This IS the job, and all the other stuff - the movies and records and tours and who-knows-what - are secondary to this.
J.Lo knows that her resurgent career has resurged in large measure because of this gig.
J.Lo knows the minute she jumps off she'll disappear - just another big star who made another dumb move - and all those things she been "so busy" with will become much less important in the scheme of things. .
J.Lo knows that Britney is her chief rival next season. She'd look like a coward ducking a fight if she left now.
J.Lo also knows how much fun it will be to bury "The X Factor" next season, and knows that she'll be the one holding the shovel. Sure they're on the same network, but if she stays, "Idol" will remain far and away the biggest franchise, and she'll be Queen Bee, and the biggest pop star in the world, while Brit will someone trying to prop up flagging "X."
J.Lo knows that there's so much more money to be made -- much, much more. Double what's she's getting now ($15-20M) for a few hours of work, figuratively speaking, a year.
J.Lo started having her "friends" spread all this talk about being "too busy" right around the very moment Britney signed on to "X." Coincidence? 'Course not. Timing's brilliant because Fox and Fremantle know that if Brit got what she got (yes, reports say at much as $50 million, believe 'em or not, and Fox, of course, knows the precise figure since it's paying it) they've got to step up to the plate, too. This is a negotiating tactic, period.
Jennifer Lopez looked divine as she strolled the black carpet wearing a gorgeous Maria Lucia Hohan gown at the What to Expect When You're Expecting premiere. E!'s own Catt Sadler and Marc Malkin were on hand to chat up the film's stars, so of course they made sure to spend some time with J.Lo.
The American Idol mama dished on her beau Casper Smart, her ex Marc Anthony and even had some advice for the new hosts of that other singing competition
One thing Lopez has appeared to find balance with is her relationship with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, with whom she cohosts the Spanish reality competition show, Q'Viva.
"Marc and I are gonna be performing together in Las Vegas with our whole Q'Viva crew," Lopez said. "Marc and I were friends for 10 years before we got married. We got married, we had two beautiful children, and we're still friends. Things disappointingly don't work out the way that you dream them in your mind sometimes. That's life. But, that doesn't mean that the caring goes away or the friendship or the things that brought you together disappear. They haven't for us, so we just want to be great parents and great friends and just try to do things well for them."

Helena Is Too Lazy To Tie The Knot To Tim Burton
They say two’s company and three’s a crowd, but Helena Bonham Carter must be used to it. Her new movie Dark Shadows sees her once again team up with its director – her real-life partner Tim Burton – and his regular male lead, Johnny Depp.
It is Depp’s eighth outing with Burton (and her seventh), but the British star doesn’t mind sharing her man.
“Johnny’s obviously a really old friend of Tim’s,” she says. “And he doesn’t feel like an actor to hang out with.”
Bonham Carter, who turns 46 this month, has been with Burton, 53, since appearing in his 2001 remake Planet Of The Apes.
There are plenty of reasons not to tie the knot in Hollywood - just ask Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who spent seven years together before finally announcing their engagement in April.
But for longtime partners Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton, the logic is simple: They're too lazy to say "I do."
"We're not (married), actually. Not through any kind of. Through laziness, really," she told Daniel Radcliffe in the latest issue of Interview magazine.
"Our houses are married. It is very good to have. You definitely need your space."
The quirky couple, who have been together for 11 years, have notoriously never wed, though they have two children together - Billy, 8, and Nell, 4 - and have collaborated on numerous film projects.
But Burton and Depp go all the way back to 1990’s Edward Scissorhands.
“Johnny’s probably a bit more obedient to Tim than I am!” laughs the actress, who lives with Burton and their two children, Billy, eight – whose godfather is Depp – and Nell, four, in London’s Belsize Park.
More than 40 years before True Blood and Twilight made angst-ridden vampires the hot new thing, there was a wicked little afternoon soap called Dark Shadows. At its center was Barnabas Collins, a brooding bloodsucker played with equal parts torment and relish by Jonathan Frid, and if you were an offbeat kid in the late 1960s there's a good chance you raced home from school to watch it. Tim Burton, the acclaimed director, was one of those eager young fans. And now he's put his own spin on things. His movie version of Dark Shadows opens May 11 with a starry cast headed by Johnny Depp - yet another boyhood buff of the soap - as the reluctant, guilt-ridden and immortally sexy Barnabas.
"Dark Shadows is a part of my DNA," says Burton. "I discovered it when I was a pre-teen feeling very awkward and strange about my place in life. I was crazy about its mash-up of vampires, witches and werewolves all swirling in this weird melodrama - there was nothing like it on TV! It formed who I am and the kind of films I would go on to make."
The Alice in Wonderland star made a vow at the start of 2012 to enrol in a class, and now she reveals she has finally hit the dance studio.
She tells Interview magazine, "The great thing about our job is that it makes us do stuff we're naturally too lazy to do. I'm proud of myself that I'm finally doing tap lessons. That was a New Year's resolution. I thought, 'Just do it! When are you going to make the time?'"
But the actress admits she prefers to spend time with her two kids when she has a rare day off, adding, ""(In my free time I) learn to tap dance. Do something with children. Bond. Remind them, 'Hello, I am your mother.' The free time is spent with the children, really.
"I think if you've got a child, you've got to show them how to love life and what the good things to do are... I love that. And I love what I get back from them, which is imagination and play."
Helena Bonham Carter admitted that she is ‘too lazy’ to tie the knot to her long-term partner Tim Burton, as she went topless, dressed as a white swan, for a quirky new shoot for a magazine.
The 45-year-old actress said that despite having two children, Billy, eight, and four-year-old Nell, with Burton - her partner of 11 years, the pair are unlikely to get hitched.
“We’re not [married], actually. Not through any kind of ... Through laziness, really,” the Daily Mail quoted her as telling the magazine.
However, Carter was quick to insist that just because the pair, who famously live in adjoining houses, aren’t legally married, it doesn’t mean their relationship isn’t serious.
“Our houses are married. It is very good to have. You definitely need your space,” she said.
Carter and Burton have worked on seven movies together and the actress thinks it is important that she gets to see him work otherwise she would worry about the filmmaker’s stress levels and unhappiness when he came home in the evenings.
“He is very stressed. Directors are. The stress level - it’s a battle. I mean everything that can go wrong goes wrong,” she said.
“But then again, what’s great about working with Tim - when you’re involved with him - is that I get to see that on set, he’s having fun.
But if I didn’t get to go on set, I’d think he was suicidal for six months. I love seeing him work. It’s a really good thing. It’s very healthy to do, every so often,” she said.
The Dark Shadows star insists she would be ‘insane’ if she turned down any roles she is offered by Burton because she thinks he is a ‘genius’, though there are also practical reasons for their frequent collaborations.

Miranda Kerr Who Could Make Anything Look Chic
The 29-year-old model looked stunning in the campaign picture, and not just because she’s very nearly naked, but because she could make anything look chic, the Mirror reported.
Granted, for a lingerie campaign, Orlando Bloom’s wife is not actually wearing all that much lingerie, she’s mainly just rocking a skimpy pair of lace knickers and a charm bracelet. The Kerr-Bloom family got away for a vacation to the Four Seasons in Bora Bora last week. Miranda Kerr wore a sexy white bikini to hang out on the beach with Flynn, and the duo later met up with dad Orlando for a swim in the hotel pool. Orlando Bloom wentshirtless for the dip and helped Flynn into his floating device. The trio spent a few days in Tahiti during a break from their many projects and have since continued their trip with a stop in New Zealand. Miranda and Orlando's getaway meant that they missed the annual Met Gala, and Miranda tweeted her disappointment about missing out on the event, writing, "So sad I can't be with you all tonight at the MET Ball! Sending love from New Zealand."
It’s no wonder Miranda looks a tad smug on the cover – she’s the happiest woman in the world.
Describing her son, who is 15 months old, Miranda said he is like a “little ball of sunshine”. She added: “He’s a really charming, lovely boy. He has that look in his eye like, ‘What trouble am I going to get into next?’
“But I like that, it's like me.”
Speaking about when she first had Flynn in January 2011, Miranda said she was working more than ever. She told the magazine: “I was working 18-hour days.
“Now that pace has slowed so I can spend the majority of my time with Flynn.”
He may be the spitting image of his papa Orlando Bloom, but in little Flynn's case, it's truly like mother, like son.
Model mama Miranda Kerr kept it all in the family at a recent photo shoot for the cover of Australia's Who magazine, sharing the front of the mag with her most scene-stealing pose partner to date: her cutie pie son!
And she thought sharing a frame with her fellow Victoria's Secret Angels pulled focus.
Play Miranda Kerr Spills on MotherhoodThe darling duo graces the magazine's (clearly Down Under's answer to People) annual Most Beautiful People issue, with Kerr opening up about motherhood with her picture-perfect 15-month-old.
And like she's said before, she's keeping her priorities straight., telling the magazine her working pace "has slowed so I can spend the majority of my time with Flynn," whom she describes as "a little ball of sunshine."
"I'm first a wife and a mother, and then comes work," the 28-year-old explained.
But most adorably, the Aussie model revealed she buys outfits for baby Flynn that match her hubby Orlando Bloom’s wardobe. How cute is that? We say very — and has Grazia Daily perusing a gallery of pics of mother and son out and about together (see above).
After the show, Mrs Bloom, who gave birth to Flynn last year, spoke to The Cut about life as a yummy mummy. ‘I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to come back to work or not, when I had my son. And now, you know, I work so much less than before I was pregnant. That’s the choice I made. Flynn is my priority — being there for him, making sure that I can cook for him, spend time for him, more important than anything else.’ Aw, what a lucky boy.
Erin joined in the baby talk and seeing as she’s now Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest arm candy, our ears instantly pricked up. ‘Is it in the water? Because I need to buy my own water!’ the blonde stunner said of fellow Angels Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio all being knocked up. ‘I don’t know what is going on ... They’re dropping like flies. Who am I going to hang out with now? It’s scary.’ We say get involved, dear.
It's been over a year since Miranda Kerr andOrlando Bloom welcomed their first child,Flynn, and they couldn't be happier!
While promoting the new swimsuit line for Victoria's Secret, Miranda opened up to E! News about motherhood and how she and Orlando are adjusting to life as parents.
"I love it, I really love it," Miranda told Giuliana Rancic of being Flynn's mommy. "He's the best thing that ever happened to me."
Same can be said for Orlando, who Miranda says is a fabulous father. "He loves it, he really does."
As for how the gorgeous model mama got back into tip-top shape after giving birth, she says she works hard and has a great support system in Orlando.

Jennifer Aniston Canceled An Awards Appearance Due To Rumors
The paper writes, “The eternal beauty was scheduled to accept an award at the Television Academy Honors ceremony on behalf of ‘Five,’ — the breast cancer movie anthology that she produced and helped direct — but on Tuesday she dropped out.”
An insider for the outlet attributes Aniston’s absence to her ex-boyfriend Mayer’s new single, “Shadow Days,” which Us Weeklyclaimed is about their 2009 breakup.
The supposed source says the Wanderlust star backed out of the ceremony because she ”was feeling ill at the prospect of being peppered with questions on the subject.”
Earlier this week, a source shared that "he wrote the song as a farewell letter knowing [Jen] would hear it. Ultimately he's done a lot of self reflection though and he realizes they weren't right for each other."
While the rumor went unfounded, according to a new New York Daily News report, which Gossip Cop has rated at and we’re rating at a number we could care less, the actress skipped a Television Academy Honors ceremony because she didn’t want to deal with reporters asking her about being the alleged inspiration. According to a source, she “was feeling ill at the prospect of being peppered with questions on the subject.”
Another source tells Gossip Cop she actually skipped because she had a real illness. The insider says she didn’t attend “because she came down with a virus.”
We’re assuming it wasn’t the “I’m tired of talking about John Mayer” virus. But, to be honest, we kind of have the “We’re tired of hearing about Jen Aniston and her hot exes” virus. Though, we are not quite tired of “Shadow Days,” which we think might actually be his mea culpa to the world, not just Aniston. We’re also not tired of staring at all her hot exes. That is all.
It seems rom com queen Jennifer Aniston will not be moving back to her native New York, and has sold the two city apartments she bought there recently. The spell living in New York was blighted by paparazzi intrusion, according to Aniston, who has since moved back to LA.
The former Friends star paid over $7m for the east coast properties, but has decided to move back to LA. And she has accepted a $6.5m offer from a mystery buyer, taking a loss on the Manhattan homes.
Miss Aniston is currently living in a 8,500 sq ft Bel Air Estate with her boyfriend Justin Theroux.
She had originally planned to create one cavernous home out of the two apartments, but she never settled at the address. “Aniston outgrew the apartments, a one-bedroom penthouse and a one-bedroom on the 17th floor — that she had planned on combining,” the New York Post was told.
“She loved them, but her circumstances changed and the space was just wrong,” the insider said. She told an Australian radio show: “We tried New York. It was a little rough with the paparazzi. It didn't feel like the New York I grew up in and knew.” Now the couple have moved into a $21m LA pad which has a vineyard, four-bedrooms, a garden and views of the Pacific.
Another star is offloading a recently bought house too — Tori Spelling. Spelling and her family bought a Malibu home just five months ago, but her fourth pregnancy means it won’t have enough family space. Who fell pregnant just one month after giving birth to her third child in October, says the new house just won’t be big enough. The property, which has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, is now on the market for $2.675m (£1.65m).
Us Weekly had claimed that Mayer, who split from the Friends star in 2009, wrote his latest track'Shadow Days'about their break-up, leading New York Daily News to report that she then missed the Television Academy Honours yesterday (May 2) over embarrassment.
A source claimed that she "was feeling ill at the prospect of being peppered with questions on the subject", though a rep for the ceremony tells Gossip Cop that she was just plain ill as caused by a virus.
